We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Generalist to lead and support the full spectrum of HR functions in a fast-paced small business environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who combines strategic thinking with operational execution.
The Senior HR Generalist will play a critical role in managing international employment matters, full-cycle recruitment, government contracting compliance, and employee relations while helping scale HR infrastructure to support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
International HR & Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage international employment agreements and independent contractor contracts.
- Ensure compliance with global labor laws and cross-border employment practices.
- Partner with international legal advisors and third-party agencies as needed.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead full-cycle recruiting: job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Build and maintain strong domestic and international candidate pipelines.
- Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and workforce plans.
Government Contracting (GovCon) HR Support
- Ensure HR policies and processes align with federal and state contracting requirements.
- Manage labor categories, wage determinations, onboarding documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain personnel records for audits, contract reviews, and compliance checks.
Employee Relations & Organizational Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor on performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
- Foster an inclusive, positive culture aligned with organizational values.
- Support performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
General HR Operations
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Maintain HR policies, handbooks, and compliance programs.
- Administer benefits, leave programs, payroll coordination, and HRIS systems.
Small Business Support & Flexibility
- Contribute cross-functionally in a roll-up-your-sleeves environment.
- Support operational initiatives and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or HR certification preferred).
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a small business and/or government contracting environment.
- Demonstrated experience with international HR practices and contract management.
- Knowledge of government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS, EEO, OFCCP).
- Strong full-cycle recruiting experience across multiple disciplines and geographies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Experience supporting remote or globally distributed teams.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and audit-readiness skills.
