About the Opportunity

A prominent national law firm is seeking a Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Des Moines office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in building a sophisticated litigation practice while working with a national and international client base. The associate will gain experience across all phases of commercial, civil, and business litigation and work alongside experienced litigators on complex matters.

Candidates ranging from newer attorneys through associates with up to six years of experience will be considered. Recent judicial clerkship experience is particularly welcome.

What You Will Do

• Work on a broad range of commercial, civil, and business litigation matters
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis
• Draft briefs, motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents
• Assist with discovery and case strategy
• Work with attorneys across a national litigation platform
• Support matters involving sophisticated business clients
• Take on increasing responsibility as experience develops

What We're Looking For

• JD from an accredited law school
• Approximately 0–6 years of legal experience
• Recent judicial clerkship experience is a plus
• Active Iowa Bar membership or eligibility for admission by waiver
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong academic credentials, including a minimum 3.2 law school GPA
