Salary: $55,000 – $75,000
A growing, high-performing plaintiff-side personal injury firm in Houston is seeking a Legal Assistant to support its litigation team. This is a full-time, on-site role working on serious injury and complex cases in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone with prior PI experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable supporting multiple active cases.
Responsibilities
- Order and track medical, billing, and radiology records
- Prepare initial disclosures and notice of filing affidavits
- Send discovery to clients and assist with gathering responses
- Communicate with clients regarding treatment, case status, and outstanding items
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files
- Track client medical treatment and update case information
- Save and manage e-filing notifications and case documents
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with trial, mediation, and deposition prep
- Support overall case progression through day-to-day litigation tasks
Qualifications
- 2+ years of legal assistant or litigation support experience
- Personal injury experience strongly preferred
- Experience ordering and managing medical and billing records
- Familiarity with Texas litigation procedures, including disclosures and filings
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Professional and empathetic client communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work on-site in Houston, TX
