Our client, OSEH Inc., is seeking a licensed Project Engineer to join its growing Transportation team in the Chicago area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer who enjoys designing transportation infrastructure while taking on increasing project leadership responsibilities.


The ideal candidate has experience working on roadway, highway, bridge, or transit projects and is comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for public-sector clients.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and support the design of transportation infrastructure projects for public and private clients.
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overall project execution.
  • Prepare engineering plans, calculations, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Review design documents, drawings, submittals, and project deliverables for quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subconsultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Apply engineering standards and sound judgment to develop practical infrastructure solutions.
  • Contribute to roadway geometry, drainage, traffic analysis, and other transportation design efforts.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 4–7 years of transportation engineering experience.
  • Experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, CDOT, or local municipal transportation projects.
  • Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of transportation design standards and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
