Equipment Operator (Heavy Equipment)

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule: 40–60 hours per week

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Equipment Operator for long-term work throughout the state of Georgia. This position requires hands-on experience digging and working safely around underground utilities. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, dependable, and comfortable traveling to multiple job sites.

⚠️ Experience working around utilities is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment, including:
• Excavators
• Skid steers / Bobcats
• Air compressors
• Other construction and utility-related equipment as needed
• Dig and work around existing utilities while following all safety protocols
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Work closely with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
• Follow company policies, job site procedures, and OSHA safety standards
• Travel to job sites throughout Georgia as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Strong knowledge of utility work and safe digging practices
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Willingness to travel statewide for job assignments
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus, but not required)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude
