We’re recruiting for a Title IX & Equity Specialist to support a large K–12 school district in delivering high-quality compliance oversight, civil rights protections, and equitable educational environments — all fully remote.


This role is ideal for someone with a JD and a strong foundation in education law, Title IX, and civil rights compliance, particularly those experienced in working with families, navigating sensitive investigations, and supporting school systems.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage Title IX and civil rights case intake, triage, and resolution
  • Oversee investigations (conducted externally), ensuring impartiality, compliance, and timely responses
  • Serve as a primary liaison for parents and guardians during sensitive or high-stakes matters
  • Maintain confidential records and track compliance deadlines
  • Advise leadership on legal risks, best practices, and equity strategies
  • Optional: Contribute to civil rights training sessions and develop training content


Who You Are

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required
  • Deep understanding of Title IX, Title VI, Section 504, ADA, and FERPA
  • Experienced in K–12 education law, policy, or compliance
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to handle complex family interactions professionally
  • Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and discretion


Bonus Points For

  • Prior experience as a Title IX Coordinator or similar
  • Experience developing or delivering civil rights training
  • K–12 or public education background
