What You'll Do
- Draft complaints and coordinate filing and service of process
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Manage discovery throughout the litigation process, including:
- Tracking outstanding requests
- Following up on responses
- Identifying deficiencies
- Prepare:
- Deficiency letters
- Motions
- Legal correspondence
- Assist attorneys with:
- Depositions
- Exhibits
- Trial preparation
- Manage litigation files from filing through resolution
- Maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and case status updates
- Track workflows and case progress using Smartsheet and related systems
- Proactively identify next steps and keep cases moving without requiring direction
- Utilize Microsoft Copilot and other technology tools to improve document review and workflow efficiency
- Help develop and improve internal processes that support a productive litigation practice
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required
- Strong experience drafting and managing written discovery
- Ability to independently manage multiple active litigation files
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and workflow management tools preferred
- Subrogation or insurance litigation experience preferred
- Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot is a plus
