The position offers meaningful leadership responsibilities, direct interaction with firm leadership, and the opportunity to shape the firm's approach to e-discovery and litigation technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with litigation attorneys, paralegals, and IT professionals to develop efficient and defensible discovery workflows.
  • Oversee the use of e-discovery platforms, including Relativity or comparable technologies.
  • Provide strategic and technical support for depositions, investigations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials involving electronic evidence.
  • Develop and deliver training to attorneys and professional staff on e-discovery practices, technology, and litigation support procedures.
  • Manage outside e-discovery vendors, including vendor selection, service quality, pricing, and cost management.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on litigation support budgets, resource planning, and operational improvements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate litigation support personnel.

  • Knowledge of applicable discovery rules, ESI protocols, privilege considerations, and defensible discovery practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, technical professionals, and outside vendors.

Preferred

  • Significant experience managing complex e-discovery matters or advising litigation teams on discovery strategy.
  • Hands-on experience with Relativity or similar e-discovery platforms.
  • Experience supervising litigation support professionals, document review teams, or outside discovery vendors.
  • Familiarity with technology-assisted review, predictive coding, AI-assisted document review, and emerging legal technology.
  • Experience developing discovery policies, workflows, training programs, or litigation support best practices.
  • Background in commercial litigation, complex litigation, or a law firm e-discovery counsel role.
