Salary: $70,000–$85,000

Industry: Apparel / Fashion / DTC / Physical Goods

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We’re partnering with a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand to hire an Operations Manager to own the order-to-delivery engine end to end.

This is a supply chain–led operations role for someone who has lived through the realities of scaling a physical goods business — late production, backorders, vendor delays, and the downstream customer experience impact that comes with it. You’ll be responsible not just for logistics, but for ensuring operational decisions translate into reliable delivery, strong margins, and a seamless customer experience.

What You’ll Own

  • End-to-end operations: production → freight → fulfillment → delivery
  • Order-to-delivery workflow design, optimization, and rebuilds as needed
  • Inventory planning and demand forecasting across high SKU counts
  • Vendor and factory management, including timelines and accountability
  • Freight strategy (air vs. ocean) balancing cost vs. launch timing
  • Backorder mitigation and production risk management
  • SOP creation, dashboards, and operational reporting
  • Landed cost tracking, margin protection, and MOQ optimization
  • Cross-functional coordination with design, marketing, finance, and CX
  • Operational readiness for product launches and restocks

Experience

Candidates preferably have:

  • Personally managed late production, backorders, or vendor delays
  • Built or rebuilt order-to-delivery workflows
  • Owned CX fallout tied to operational breakdowns — not just logistics in isolation
  • Direct experience in DTC, apparel, or physical goods
  • Factory and vendor management exposure
  • Inventory planning and SKU-level tracking experience

Leadership & Operating Traits

We’re prioritizing operators who bring the right temperament as much as the right resume:

  • Calm under pressure and steady during operational fires
  • Direct, transparent communicator
  • Comfortable delivering hard truths when needed
  • Low ego, high ownership mindset
  • Biased toward execution over theory
  • Proactive risk identifier and problem solver
  • Highly accountable and detail-obsessed

Ideal Background

  • Apparel or fashion supply chain experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in high-SKU environments
  • Exposure to scaling operations in a $1M–$10M+ DTC brand
  • 3PL management experience
  • International sourcing and freight exposure

Why This Role

  • True operational ownership and influence
  • Opportunity to build and refine systems in a scaling brand
  • Cross-functional leadership visibility
  • Fully remote flexibility
  • Competitive salary with growth upside
